Imerologion of the Ecumenical Patriarchate

The official website of the Ecumenical Patriarchate www.ec-patr.org includes an online version of the annual "ΗΜΕΡΟΛΟΓΙΟΝ" (Calendar), which is published by the Patriarchate and applies the Typikon to the present calendar year.

Click here for the 2011 ΗΜΕΡΟΛΟΓΙΟΝ of the Ecumenical Patriarchate

Site content is in both Greek and English, but the ΗΜΕΡΟΛΟΓΙΟΝ is only available in Greek.

The English section of the website has limited content, mostly addresses and encyclicals, but there are some good links to other Autocephalus Orthodox Churches, Eparchies of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, and different Institutions.

  2. It is ridiculous in this day and age that Patriarch Bartholomew not assign someone for the translation of the Imerologion into English. It is this kind of backward thinking which made converts to Orthodoxy fight tooth and nail for their rights to have the Liturgy itself done in English over 20 years ago! When will Bartholomew do away with this? I sense that this issue is one of a mistaken threat to personal power that both the backwards-thinkin hierarchy and prideful Psalti keep in place so as to secure their position over "those who do not know Greek", instead of sharing what Christ wills for us to share with others. It is these type of people who refuse to grow the Church, and whom God has no use for, ultimately!

  3. It is now the year 2011. Where are your new copies of the Imerologion? Have you given up publishing it for sudden lack of interest, or have you been personally attacked because of your previous good efforts here, online?

  5. Hi Unknown. Thank you for your well written comment on an English translation to the Imerologion. However I would beg to differ on your thoughts of why the Imerologion is not translated into English. The unfortunate truth is that no one has been able to do it properly. Many have made attempts in the past few years with little success. I encourage you to try if you are that passionate about it. Or let me know if you are interested in helping admin@onlinetypikon.com. All the best.
